New-Serrated split center links bring a design which evenly distributes the load bearing function of the center link in the most effective design available on the market to date. Past designs used only a single key way design was available which concentrated the load bearing to a small localized area of the center link. The New Serrated design provides a key-way over the entire mating surface area resulting in the most effective means of load distribution. The bottom line is a stronger split center link with reduced wear and increased life; which means less down-time replacing broken links.

Internal load testing showed an average of 33% increase of load bearing capability before breaking vs. the common single key-way designs available. Armed with the internal results, Omni-X field tested the Serrated links in some of the highest volume and most difficult mandrel bending applications in production today. The serrated link was superior in all applications increasing life ranging from 10 to 60 percent representing significant positive results across the wide spectrum of tube and pipe bending variables including material and degree of bend.

The Serrated links are available in sizes 7-12 covering an OD range of 1.125" to 4.625". All Omni-X multi-ball mandrels include the serrated center link and are the number one requested replacement center link demanded by our customers. The New Serrated link configuration is backward compatible with the H-Style link standard.
